Getty, 501 West 24th Street

The Getty is a dynamic 12-storey residential building at 501 West 24th Street in Manhattan's treasured West Chelsea neighbourhood. This architectural sculpture consists of six tailor-made apartments, an art gallery and a museum of art. The estate is located at the corner of Tenth Avenue in the aspiring artist quarter with a view of the High Line (a former freight train high track revamped into a park).

The focus on art and design also extends to the apartments and the interior. The use of different kinds of stone, marble and wood from over 80 countries guarantees that no two apartments have the same design. In addition, the residents of the penthouse duplex have access to a housetop terrace with panorama view of the skyline and a private pool.

Each of the 166 window panes in the building - some almost seven metres high - are all different. They were designed in Germany and manufactured in Italy.
