1Picking protection pin

Prevents the cylinder from being pulled out.

2Body reinforcement pins

Hardened pins that make it difficult to drill into the cylinder body.

3Plug reinforcement pins

Hardened pins that make it difficult to drill into the cylinder body.

4Cylinder spring

Brings the drive and tumbler pins into position.

5Tumbler pin

Differently shaped tumbler pins prevent the cylinder from being manipulated by lock picking or bumping.

6Drive pin

By inserting un authorised key, the drive pins and tumbler pins are separated. This allows the turning of the key.

7Coupling

By selecting the coupling, cylinders are given different functions, e.g.

  • Emergency function – even though the key is inserted on the inside, the door can be opened from the outside with the authorised key.
  • Standard function – a key inserted on one side prevents the door from being opened with the key from the other side.

8Cylinder locking cam

Actuates the elements in the lock so that the door can be locked or unlocked.

9Thread for faceplate screw

  • Fixes the cylinder in the lock.
  • Uses the supplied screw, also called a faceplate screw.
