Provided with an additional electronic security feature, the well-proven mechanical locking system janus "goes mechatronics". Hardly distinguishable from a purely mechanical cylinder, the SE cylinder is suitable for use in areas where there is a risk of vandalism, for instance in schools. On the inside, the cylinder is protected by its robust rosette. Its remarkably energy-efficient functioning allows for very high cycle numbers per inserted standard battery. A decisive criterion where battery-operated systems are concerned.

Das bewährte mechanische Schließsystem janus wird bei diesem Zylinder zusätzlich elektronisch gesichert und kann dadurch besonders flexibel eingesetzt werden. Von außen ist der janus Zylinder SE kaum von einem rein mechanischen Zylinder zu unterscheiden und ist daher z.B. für vandalismusgefährdete Bereiche wie etwa Schulen geeignet. Seine stabile Rosette schützt ihn darüber hinaus im Innenbereich.
