Networked security concept based on the manufacturer-neutral GEMOS

GEMOS is a range of products comprising software, hardware, accessories and services.
GEMOS, a software-based graphic management platform, supports the technical and or-ganisational implementation of any kind of hazard prevention. Numerous media, communication and security systems, such as fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, access control systems, fire extinguishing and smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems, etc. can be managed irrespective of manufacturer in GEMOS. High-availability secure interfaces - for nearly all security systems available on the market - are the basis for ensuring that third-party systems are paired to management systems smoothly and effectively. The GEMOS interfaces provide a separate driver for linking with every third-party system.

Individual consultation plays a key role in complex networked solutions. The technologies that are available today are comparable to a large extent. The crucial difference is the consulting expertise of the sales staff. The more complex and specialised the solution, the more important it is to have technical knowledge and experience regarding the systems used as well as the industry-specific requirements. BKS | hotel, the new sector-specific solution, will be presented for the first time at the Intersec

Nowadays hotels face special security demands. A high degree of flexibility and straightforward administration of master key systems are significant criteria and the bigger the hotel, the more significant they are.

The user-friendly software BKS | hotel provides access to the building by authorised persons via an electronic locking system with cards for the hotel room doors and the entrance area.

Access to the parking spaces, fitness and wellness areas or conference rooms and so on can be flexibly regulated. Guest cards can be automatically created via the integrated interface with existing hotel reservation software, which reduces the reception workload.

The existing systems that are available on the market normally only control room, conference and media technology for the relevant room only, which means they are effectively standalone solutions. To integrate these systems globally, many interfaces and connections are required, which often pushes installers to their limits. GEMOS is designed with the overall building in mind from the outset and provides a system for combining all functions of the individual trades.

BKS offers two simple secure options for transferring the software to the access media:
a tabletop encoder and a programming device.

Original MIFARE Ident media are used in the BKS system. An enhanced encryption standard is used to read and write the media.

The hotel solution also includes locks and door hardware. The ixalo hotel door hardware is visually appealing and equipped with innovative technology to meet stringent security requirements.

The extensive range of BKS locks offers you visual consistency and comprises different
locking types for all profiles. BKS locks are extremely durable and low-maintenance, espe-cially when there is a high frequency of use.

The attractive design of the ixalo hotel door hardware has also been adopted with the ixalo wall reader, which can be used flexibly and blends seamlessly into any switch range. The ixalo knob cylinder is a practical addition that caters for situations where door hardware or wall readers cannot be used on interior doors.
