Technical Officer Export-Pre-Sales

Location: Offenbach

Support of the Export Manager to technically evaluate and review documents and to be engaged in a presales technical consultancy role for our BKS partners in the product section GEMOS and GEMOS access.

Key responsibilities:

Quotation processing for GEMOS PSIM

  • Check and evaluate the technical feasibility of project data related to GEMOS
    Management Software and GEMOS access
  • Communicate with the BKS partners using a project checklist for full technical
    feasibility verification with regard to GEMOS and GEMOS access projects
  • Create quotation drawings (quotation sketches) using Visio software
  • Provide customer-specific solutions for GEMOS to offer new requirements. Work with Export Manager, Product Management and R&D to feedback on GEMOS solutions and provide input around new products
  • Create GEMOS licenses
  • Be in regular relationships and communication with the colleagues of the GU group, partners, manufacturers and many more


  • Deliver workshops (online or on site) according to the customer's requirements/needs
  • Technical Support

  • Showroom available in Offenbach, Germany for customer's visits

Test and evaluation

  • Set-up, maintenance and support of the GEMOS drivers, module and
    Basic licence test environment
  • Perform tests of newly developed and customer-specific solutions

Processing of integration documents (SDK)

  • Procure integration documents and check the GEMOS connection to products by other manufacturers
  • Test the integration and discuss its feasibility with the manufacturers and partners
  • Work with Product Management, Sales and R&D to clarify whether a new interface can be developed and if the planning is economically viable (R&D costs)
  • Planning completion by phase, testing of licenses and drivers, monitoring deadlines (development/hardware procurement/training dates)
  • Create final reports
  • Create and prepare test setups for later developments

Candidate profile:

  • Professional training as IT specialist
  • Experience as Pre-Sales software administrator a distinct advantage
  • Good working knowledge as software administrator in the area of security technology
  • Very good command of English for communication with international located colleagues and customers
