A grand master key system (GHS) is a complex type of master key system that is often used in large building complexes such as administrative buildings, universities, or hotels. These systems consist of many differently keyed cylinders, which are organized into different hierarchy levels or keying groups.The superior grand master key can operate all cylinders in the system, thus offering high flexibility in the management of access rights.
