Our mortise locks for tubular frame doors are specially developed for the requirements of narrow door profiles made of aluminium or plastic. Thanks to their compact design, small backset dimensions and reversible latch, they are ideal for installation in single and double-leaf tubular frame doors – both in new buildings and for retrofitting.
With robust mechanics, tested quality according to DIN 18251 and series such as Series 13 and 18, BKS mortise locks offer reliable protection for heavily frequented doors. The locks can be combined with profile cylinders and fittings; a freewheel cylinder is not required.
Optionally equipped with roller or strike plate latch as well as panic functions, they meet safety requirements according to EN 179 and EN 1125 and are ideally suited for use in commercial, residential and administrative buildings.

The GU mortise lock product line offers locally manufactured solutions consisting of standard mortise locks, roller-type mortise locks, and restroom door lock options. To accommodate different door systems, options are available with 25 mm, 30 mm, and 35 mm backset; 85 mm and 90 mm center-to-center distances; and 16 mm and 24 mm faceplate widths. While the standard and roller models meet a variety of application needs, the product line also includes a restroom door lock option suitable for PVC doors. Thanks to the variety of size and type options, selecting the right product for a specific project or application is easy.

Standards and safety requirements
Mortise locks meet the highest safety standards and are certified according to DIN EN 12209 for mechanical locks. Versions with panic function also comply with the European standards DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors). The VdS approval certifies their suitability for burglar-resistant doors in accordance with DIN EN 1627–1630. In addition, numerous models offer fire and smoke protection suitability as well as CE marking for use in the European market.
