The door closes almost silently with the BKS silent latch

When a door is pushed firmly into the lock, for example when using door closers, the metal of the latch hits the metal of the striker, making a slamming sound. To avoid this, a silent latch can be used.

The BKS silent latch is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, resulting in a reduced noise level of 50% – both when the door is closed and when it vibrates in the striker.

The material of the latch also ensures that the striker is subject to less wear.

Advantages at a glance:

  • High-quality fiberglass-reinforced plastic silent latch
  • No relubrication of the latch necessary
  • Improved gliding characteristics due to the plastic used
  • Minimum wear of the striker
  • Noise reduction when the door is closed and when it vibrates in the striker
  • Additional dampening roller for low-noise closing
  • For use in the project lock (class 3) or in the heavy-duty lock (class 5)
  • Continuous range with PC, bathroom and CH-RC hole-types across all backset dimensions and faceplate finishes
  • Most exacting requirements in terms of security, convenience, robustness
