The BELCANTO hardware series combines maintenance-free technology with exceptional durability – tested for over 1.5 million operations in accordance with EN 1906. An integrated high-tension spring ensures permanently precise return action, while the concealed quick installation enables fast and clean mounting. Thanks to a wide range of lever handle and knob models as well as variants for timber, steel, and tubular frame doors, every door solution can be implemented flexibly and precisely.

BELCANTO hardware according to DIN EN 1906 combines a clear, timeless design with reliable technology – ideal for demanding commercial applications [in the "panic" version also suitable for emergency exit and escape doors in accordance with EN 179]. Variants as security hardware according to DIN 18257 as well as versions for fire and smoke protection doors meet the highest requirements for safety and quality in accordance with applicable CE guidelines.

The EN 1906 standard concerns the requirements and test methods for door hardware, especially door handles and levers. It classifies this hardware into different categories based on frequency of use, durability, security, and corrosion resistance. An important feature is the durability test, in which the door handles must withstand a high number of operations; in the highest user category, at least 200,000 operations are required. The products must also be able to offer specific properties such as maintenance-free operation.
