Panic locks for timber and steel doors reliably meet the requirements for secure and standard-compliant door systems in escape and rescue routes – both in public areas and commercial buildings. Thanks to certified security in accordance with DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors) as well as tested quality, these locks are ideal for doors with increased security requirements.

With a wide range of variants and robust construction, our panic locks – e.g. from Series 23 – offer a reliable solution for highly frequented areas with escape route requirements. The locks are prepared for standard profile cylinders and door fittings – a freewheel cylinder is not required.

Optionally available with strike plate protection or monitoring contacts, they provide additional security and convenience – ideal for use in buildings with high public traffic or sensitive areas.

Standards and safety requirements

Panic locks for timber and steel doors meet the highest safety standards in accordance with DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors) and are also certified according to DIN EN 12209 and DIN 18251 for mechanical locks. VdS-approved variants are suitable for use in burglar-resistant doors according to DIN EN 1627–1630. Many models also offer fire and smoke protection suitability as well as CE marking for the European market.
