Standards and Safety Requirements
RONDO hardware according to DIN EN 1906 is designed for high-traffic project areas. It combines maintenance-free technology with high load capacity and offers versions for fire and smoke protection doors as well as escape doors in accordance with EN 179 – manufactured according to current CE guidelines and strict quality standards.

The EN 1906 standard concerns the requirements and test methods for door hardware, especially door handles and levers. It classifies this hardware into different categories based on frequency of use, durability, security, and corrosion resistance. An important feature is the durability test, in which the door handles must withstand a high number of operations; in the highest user category, at least 200,000 operations are required. The products must also be able to offer specific properties such as maintenance-free operation.
Emergency exit devices with lever handle or push plate for doors in escape routes
The EN 179 standard refers to emergency exit devices intended for use in buildings where it is expected that people familiar with the escape route can quickly and safely reach an exit in an emergency. These locking systems are designed to be easily opened in the event of an emergency. They require only a simple hand movement without the use of keys or similar aids. EN 179 specifies requirements for the design and performance of such systems to ensure their reliability and safety.
